What are the consequences of LIES?

 The following are the consequences of LIES...

1. Punishment await liars

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish. (Proverbs 19:9 ESV)

2. Lies leads to hell

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and ALL LIARS their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8 ESV)

3. Lies bring about shame and disgrace

The righteous hates falsehood, but the wicked brings shame and disgrace. (Proverbs 13:5 ESV )

4. Lies make us lose position as God's delight.

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight. (Proverbs 12:22 ESV)

5. Lies shorten period of relevance or appreciation.

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment. (Proverbs 12:19 ESV)

6. Lies relegates a man to a low status

What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar. (Proverbs 19:22 ESV )

7. Lying makes a person a hater and destroyer instead of a lover and builder.

A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin. (Proverbs 26:28 ESV )
