It is very important and required of us to forgive others when they offend us. Yes, some offence can be so painful that we feel they cannot be forgiven. We may even feel justified to hold people in unforgiveness because of the magnitude or sensitivity of their offence against us or even others. But what does our evenly father wants us to do? "To forgive everyone their offence." How easy is that? Yes, It is not always easy but it is possible by God's grace. Remember we can do all things (including forgiving) through Christ that strengthens us. We can start by willing to forgive and let go, ask God to help you, tell Him how pained you feel and how difficult it is to let go, be sincere about your feelings (He knows anyways) and then trust and depend on the grace of God going forward. When we do what is wrong, we need forgiveness to be set free of guilt and make peace with the one that we have offended. Same applies to when others offend us, we are to forgive them their offence against us. As humans, we think there are offences that are hard to forgive or cannot be forgiven but there is no offence too hard for God to forgive us, likewise God wants us to forgive anyone who offends us.
