TRUE WORSHIP - 4

Another sacrifice God acceptable to God is our BROKEN & CONTRITE HEART.
Psalm 51:17, NLT: "The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God."
A broken spirit is crushed, downcast, sorrowful, remorseful or humbled for the wrong actions taken or sins committed and willing to genuinely repent.
God wants us to have a humble spirit, the willingness to change and reverence Him.
Psalm 34:18;
The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit”
Good News Translation
Isaiah 66:2 “I myself created the whole universe! I am pleased with those who are HUMBLE and REPENTANT, who fear me and obey me."
Remember God does not take pleasure in the death of a sinner. He wants us all to change.
Ezekiel 33:11
God help us all in Jesus Name.

Forgiveness

When we do what is wrong, we need forgiveness to be set free of guilt and make peace with the one that we have offended. Same applies to when others offend us, we are to forgive them their offence against us. As humans, we think there are offences that are hard to forgive or cannot be forgiven but there is no offence too hard for God to forgive us, likewise God wants us to forgive anyone who offends us. Do you feel you have not sinned? Do you feel you have sinned and cannot be forgiven? Do you feel some has offended you and can never be forgiven? Let search God's Word together. The word of God below is an assurance that you can be forgiven; 1 John 1:8-10 New International Version If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him (God) out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
